City University Chooses Pipilika Soft as the Official Partner for Its University Management System
On 28 February 2026, City University and Pipilika Soft officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement a comprehensive University Management System (UMS) aimed at accelerating the university’s digital transformation.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed by Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Lutfor Rahman (Retd.), Honorable Vice Chancellor of City University, and Mr. Humayun Kabir Pavel, Chairman & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Pipilika Soft.
The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Shaheduzzaman Choudhury, Honorable Treasurer of City University, along with distinguished academicians, university officials, and representatives from the Pipilika Soft development team. The event marked the beginning of a strategic collaboration to implement a state-of-the-art University Management System (UMS), reinforcing both organizations’ shared commitment to digital transformation, operational excellence, and innovation in higher education.
Short Story:
Before partnering with Pipilika Soft, City University had implemented a University Management System developed by a third-party software provider. However, the solution was unable to fully meet the university’s operational requirements and the evolving needs of its stakeholders.
Despite having a management system in place, several critical processes—including student payment management—still had to be handled manually, resulting in delays, inefficiencies, and increased administrative workload.
Moreover, essential administrative functions such as Human Resource Management (HRM), Payroll, Attendance Management, Leave Management, and Internal Accounts Management were either unavailable or could not be effectively managed through the existing system. As a result, the university faced significant operational challenges and recognized the need for a more comprehensive, integrated, and reliable University Management System.
Implementaing Pipilika Soft IEMS System:
After facing significant operational challenges with its previous University Management System, City University began searching for a reliable and experienced technology partner with a proven track record of successfully implementing University Management Systems across higher education institutions.
During the evaluation process, the university identified Pipilika Soft as one of the most trusted Education Technology (EdTech) companies in Bangladesh. Throughout the implementation process, the team successfully resolved data inconsistencies, standardized complex department-specific academic policies, and migrated critical institutional data into a unified platform.
Within a remarkably short implementation timeline, a fully functional test environment was delivered to City University in May 2026, enabling every department to evaluate the system in real-world operational scenarios. Faculty members, administrative staff, and key stakeholders actively used the Integrated Education Management System (IEMS) and provided highly positive feedback regarding its functionality, usability, and performance.
Based on the successful testing phase and stakeholder satisfaction, City University officially launched the Pipilika Soft Integrated Education Management System (IEMS) on 9 July 2026.
